Hi, I’m stephanie Hein.

I’m glad you made it here.
Chances are, you have a story like mine.

I’ve been a trained Clinical Herbalist since 2008 and now work as a Functional Health Coach, combining formal training with decades of hands-on and lived experience. My path into helping others began with a deeply personal experience.

In my early 30s, I began noticing that something felt off. At the time, I was doing it all—working multiple jobs, homeschooling two children, running a homestead, and being the person everyone in my community relied on. I was burning the candle at both ends, pushing through, and ignoring what my body was trying to tell me.

Then one morning, everything changed.

I woke up completely paralyzed from the waist down, with extreme swelling in my inguinal lymph nodes. I was scared and had no understanding of what was happening. I had spent years supporting my family with natural remedies and had been eating organic for over a decade. I believed I was doing everything right.

But my body was telling a different story.

After seeing multiple doctors—and even holistic practitioners—I was met with diagnoses that felt overwhelming and, more importantly, offered very little real direction or hope.

So I made a decision.

I stepped fully into understanding my own body.

I was eventually diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune condition that has become increasingly common in modern society, especially among women. But instead of accepting that diagnosis as my long-term reality, I began a deep, committed dive into root-cause healing.

I studied my own lab work.
I shifted how I nourished my body.
I implemented targeted supplementation and herbal protocols.
I changed the way I lived—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

And over time, everything began to shift.

Today, I am in full remission from Hashimoto’s—and have been for years. I’m now in my 40s and feel stronger, clearer, and more energized than I ever did before.

This experience didn’t just change my health—it shaped my life’s work.

I went on to build a successful herbal medicine company, Wise Earth Botanicals, and have had the opportunity to speak and teach across the country. But more than anything, over the past decade, I’ve seen the same patterns show up again and again in the people I work with.

The same symptoms.
The same underlying imbalances.
The same feeling of being told “this is just how it is.”

And it’s not.

Your symptoms are not random.
They are your body’s way of communicating.

What we’ve been taught to accept as normal—fatigue, hormonal shifts, digestive issues, even many perimenopausal symptoms—are often signals that the body is under-resourced, especially at the level of metabolism, hormones, and adrenal function.

Modern life has pulled us far away from what actually supports the body.

This is why I created Get Back to Health.

Because when you return to what truly nourishes and supports your system—physically, mentally, and emotionally—the body responds.

And at the end of the day, nothing matters more than that.

Because without your health, you have nothing.

My Approach

My approach is built on understanding the body as an interconnected system—not a collection of isolated symptoms.

Rather than chasing quick fixes, we look at what is truly driving imbalance and create a clear, practical path forward that supports your body’s ability to regulate, restore, and function at a higher level.

  • Nutrient-dense “Metabolic Forward” dietary guidance

  • Examination of digestive terrain, including parasite testing when appropriate

  • Targeted herbal and supplement support

  • Movement and exercise tailored to your body

  • Lifestyle adjustments to support energy, sleep, and recovery

  • Coaching to shift patterns and limiting beliefs

  • Holistic lab review through an optimal metabolic lens
